Angélique

Two days ago I watched a rather new movie. It was directed by a French director Ariel Zeitoun. Originally the movie was made according to the book of Anne et Serge Golon.

The first minutes of the movie brings us back to the 17th century. We see the usual situation for that time a beautiful girl that doesn't want to obey her parents and doesn't want to marry with a stranger. The girl shows her character and I think Nora Arnezeder expressed beautifully all emotions: anger, dissent, disappointment and finally the most difficult -- humility with her fate.
After the marriage we see that Angélique can be grateful to her brave and dedicated husband.
The movie is very romantic and shows how people can change in different situations. The actor Gérard Lanvin who played the husband of Angélique suited perfectly for that role. He is a scientist and an experimenter who gained his wealth due to scientific methods.
Moreover, in the movie we can see the real spirit of nobles who can do anything in order to be the most wealth people in the kingdom. An important role was played by gossips and conspiracies which gave the movie more action and abruptness.
The end of the movie wasn't clear and we can wait for a second part.

I think the movie deserves 8 stars out of 10.
